Twenty-two year old, Markeyla Williams suffered from third degree burns after an accident with a lighter, which caught her hair on fire. She is currently being treated at The University of Alabama, through intense physical therapy. However, Markeyla uses music as a distraction and a pain reliever. The hospital has a Music Therapy Department that has been working with Markeyla, helping her get through her disabilities. Music allows the patient to focus on the music instead of the pain, while helping them achieve a full range of motion. Check out the article below for more details on Music Therapy.
